Today's Prompt (all prompts can be seen HERE):
December 5 - Five things you do not want to forget from 2011?
List out 5 things you do not want to forget from this past year, and write a bit about why you do not wish to forget...
I love lists. They are a great way to journal - especially for people who have a hard time figuring out what to write - and to be honest, and, let's admit it, a little nerdy, I just think they are plain fun. The rule of thumb I like to give out in my journaling e-courses, is to create your list, then list out approximately three things for each item on it (I guess we could call it sub-listing).
Today I meet a friend who is also doing the decemeber-daily-reverb11 for coffee before our weekly yoga class. We had fun helping one another come up with our 5 things.

Above you can see her journal (it is the same size as mine), my spread in the works (using my new favourite rubber stamp), and my friend doing some practice lettering (don't you just love her hand writing?!)
Below is my final spread, as you can see, my day-page is pretty small for day 5, so it was good that I ended up making the journaling page pretty bold and fun. I used watercolor paper instead of my usual lined moleskine paper to journal on today... which means I was able to use my copic markers for color detail.

On the backside of my day-page - I wrote out the prompt (I did this last, once I realized I did not note it anywhere):

A couple fun things about my list: First, I decided to use different shape vintage dennison labels for my numbers - the larger ovals and starbursts are new to my collection and I was anxious to put them in action. Second, as I started to make out my list, I realized the numbers could work as a double meaning. We got ONE puppy, there were TWO fun visits from friends to my house, I had THREE Thanksgivings, FOUR events for my birthday, and FIVE trips with friends.

On the back side of the spread I did a lot of writing - listing out the details, paying particular attention to the things I wish to remember most:

Before I put my list down on the actual journal spread, I jotted notes down to brainstorm - I thought I would show you the ugly page so you can see I work at my lettering and it is not always as nice as you think. See how messy it is:

And there it is! See you tomorrow with day 6!

1. That moment in Paris -- mindfulness in the moment.
2. Date nights with my husband -- so important for us to have the chance to do what we love: discover great food and chat amiably.
3. There is no need to "fix" anything -- just sit with feelings.
4. Dressing fabulously is always the way to go.
5. I am worthy -- my word and mantra and purpose in 2011!
